DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The closure of First Street between Robert Drive and Red Cross Lane originally scheduled to begin Wed., Feb. 13 has been postponed until the end of the month.
Scheduling has allowed for this section of First Street to remain open for local access a little longer, according to ODOT's Mandi Abner.
The exact date of the closure is still to be announced.
This road closure is due to a contractor reconstructing this portion of First Street as part of the I-75 Modernization Project.
The official detour during this closure is: Salem Avenue/First Street to Robert Drive to Third Street to Wilkinson to First Street.
The affected section of First Street is scheduled to reopen to motorists in September of 2017.
