Williams to miss Cincinnati Masters
Wimbledon Champion will have surgery on foot

MASON, Ohio (WDTN) - Top ranked Serena Williams will have to have surgery after cutting her foot on broken glass at a restaurant last week.
As a result this year's Wimbledon Champion was forced to withdraw from the Western and Southern Cincinnati Masters.
The tournament in Mason gets underway on August 7.
Serena, who hopes to be ready for the US Open, will also miss tournaments in Istanbul and Montreal.
The Cincinnati Masters still has a great lineup with Venus Williams, Maria Sharapova and French Open Champ Francesca Schiavone.
