NEW YORK, NY (WDTN) - Olympic gold medalist and Middletown native, Kayla Harrison, did something Friday she's never done before.
She had the honor of ringing the opening bell of the NASDAQ stock exchange.
The 22-year-old is the first American to ever win a gold medal in judo at the Olympics.
A celebration in Middletown is in the works for later this month to mark her accomplishment.
