Reds Blog: Day 2

Day 2 in Goodyear Arizona is another perfect sunny day in the upper 80s. I see why so many people retire out here.

I spent the first part of my day at the Indians complex. There, I interviewed former Beavercreek High School pitcher Justin Masterson who's now Cleveland's number one starter.  I told me about walking through the halls of BHS dreaming of being a big leaguer and now he is!

I also interviewed Indians reliever Joe Smith who used to pitch for the Wright State Raiders. He is another class act. One thing is for sure the Miami valley produces some great people.  Be sure to watch 2 news for my reports on those guys.

I just finished watching the Dayton Dragons practice and interviewed new manager Jose Nieves. Dragon fans are going to love their new skipper, he's funny, smart and wants to win.

I'm off to watch the dragons play a game!
