DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - We are just one week away from the first Friday night of Operation Football. Thurgood Marshall is once again the favorite to win the City League.

Head coach Earl White has led the Cougars to an amazing 28-4 record over the last three years, including a 10-2 mark last year.  Marshall beat Alter in the first round of the playoffs before losing to Springfield Shawnee in the region 12 semifinals.

The Cougars double wing attack offense is one of the highest scoring in the state, averaging 40 points a game last season.

Running back Deznell Norvell returns for his senior season after rushing for 1,800 and 30 touchdowns his junior year.

The defending city league champs are loaded with experience and have big goals for 2012.
