FAIRBORN, Oh - Miles Dixon, a 6-1 guard from Missouri City, Texas, has signed a letter of intent to attend Wright State University and play basketball for the Raiders this fall, WSU head coach Billy Donlon announced Monday.

"Miles will add experience and versatility to our backcourt," Donlon said. "He is an explosive athlete with the ability to defend multiple perimeter positions."
Dixon, who played one season and part of a second before an injury at NCAA Division I Houston (TX) Baptist University, will have two years of eligibility remaining. He started 18 games while playing 31 as a freshman when he averaged 7.1 points, 1.7 assists and 2.5 rebounds, reaching double-figure scoring nine times. Playing just five games as a sophomore, his year was cut short by a broken foot as he averaged 12.2 points and 3.6 rebounds. Before his injury, he scored 22 points versus Oklahoma State and had 14 points against Arizona State in the Great Alaska Shootout.

Last season, Dixon played at Blinn Community College, coached by Tra Arnold, where he averaged 12.5 points and shot 48% from the field, including 36% from three-point range. Blinn finished the season with a record of 27-7.

During his career at Elkins (TX) High School, Dixon averaged 15.7 points per game and was named First Team All-District.
