DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - 2 NEWS Today has 5 thing you need to know for Tuesday, February 26, 2013.

40-year-old Kenneth Brandt will be sentenced in Montgomery County for child rape charges. Brandt is already serving 60 years to life in jail in Miami County after admitting to raping his adoptive sons and selling one of them for sex.

Michelle Mooty will be sentenced for child endangering and assault. Her son, 2-year-old Levi Barrett was beaten to death in December 2011 by Mooty's boyfriend.

Today marks the one year anniversary of the death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida. The teen was shot and killed on his way home by George Zimmerman.

Starting tonight, the Shelby County Sheriff is training school officials in firearms to better protect their students.

Officials with AAA will put up an anti-texting while driving billboard in Dayton this morning at 10:30.
