DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - 2 News Today has 5 things you need to know for Thursday, December 6, 2012.

Mixed martial arts fighter, Niko Boscarino, who was convicted of assaulting three Dayton police officers will be sentenced.

A man accused of scamming elderly residents in Trotwood will be back in court. Police say William Donahue went door-to-door, offering to do odd jobs, but accepted cash up front and never completed the work.

Huber Heights firefighters will present a check for breast cancer research this afternoon.

The Downtown Dayton Lion's Club will hold its 43rd annual Christmas with Special Friends event. Visually impaired children will get a visit from Santa and open presents at the Presidential Banquet Center in Kettering.

The Trans-Siberian Orchestra performs tonight at 7:30 at Wright State University's Nutter Center.
