DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A wanted man in Dayton is now behind bars.

Police arrested Aaron Doakes Wednesday evening after a short chase.

Police say he fled from them in his car on Hillcrest Avenue, then bailed out on foot.

Officers ran him down in an alley on Pointview Avenue.

He is wanted for felonious assault, accused of shooting a man back in December.

He now also faces several charges for the chase, including child endangering as there were three children in the car at the time.

Doanes was profiled in a 2 NEWS Crimestoppers' Most Wanted segment last December.

He is now in the Montgomery County Jail.
