DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A student was arrested after police said he made a threat that forced them to lockdown his own school.

The 18-year-old Gardendale Academy student threatened a teacher, then left the school, saying he would come back with weapons, Dayton Public Schools officials told 2 NEWS.

The school, at the intersection James H. McGee Boulevard and North Gettysburg Avenue, went into lockdown when a student left the campus.

Police went to the student's home and took him into custody and the lockdown order was lifted.

No injuries were reported.

Police and school officials have not identified the student.
