DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Most urban high schools are struggling to graduate students and curb violence.

A recent report by the Thomas Fordham Foundation studied six urban Ohio high schools -- spotlighting their accomplishments and how they have worked to become high performing.

Two of those schools are in Dayton -- Early College Academy and Stivers School for the Arts -- both a part of Dayton Public Schools.

At a forum open to the public, to be held Jan. 15, the schools will share their stories.

The report's author will be there and will talk about what he has learned, and a panel discussion is included.

The event will be take place from 7-9 p.m. at Stivers School for the Arts, 1313 E. Fifth St., Dayton.

The audience will be invited to ask questions.
