CINCINNATI, Ohio (WDTN/AP) - Ohio's fourth and final casino opened Monday evening in downtown Cincinnati.
The spacious Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati has more than 2000 slot machines ranging from 1 cent to $500 per spin.
There's also a high stakes gaming area, where visitors can bet up to $50,000 per hand in Blackjack.
Casino officials expect more than six million visitors per year. People were lined up several hours before the grand opening at 8:30 pm to be among the first players in casino history.
According to state officials, about $133 million in taxes from $404 million dollars in revenue has gone to Ohio schools, counties, and cities.
The Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati is the last of four casinos in Ohio approved by voters in 2009.
