CAMBRIDGE, Ohio (AP) - Law enforcement officers who have evidence to submit to the state's crime lab now have a new drop-off point in eastern Ohio.

Attorney General Mike DeWine says the state has opened a new regional office for the Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Cambridge.

The building also will accommodate agents investigating crimes in the area.

The office will be open every other Wednesday for evidence receiving, and agents will also provide onsite polygraph testing for investigators by appointment.

The Bureau of Criminal Investigation's headquarters is in London. Other lab offices are in Richfield, Athens, Bowling Green, and Youngstown.

Improving the crime lab and the time it takes to process evidence has been a priority for DeWine since taking office in 2011.
