SANDUSKY, Ohio (AP) - Cedar Point says the track is now complete on its 170-foot tall roller coaster that will give a new look to the amusement park's front entrance.
Officials at the park in Sandusky say the final piece of track was put in place last Wednesday on the "winged" roller-coaster called GateKeeper.
A park spokeswoman tells WKYC-TV in Cleveland that construction is about two weeks ahead of schedule.
Cedar Point's new coaster is designed to make riders feel like they're flying.
The blue-steeled tubular coaster will have riders on seats that extend sideways from the track, with nothing above or below them.
The coaster will soar over a new main entrance and turn riders upside-down.
