Kings Island's Racer getting spruced up

KINGS MILL, Ohio (WDTN) - The Racer roller coaster at Kings Island is getting a facelift.
Carpenters are making repairs to the 41-year old coaster. They are renovating the track, fixing bent posts and battered braces.
The Racer is a focal point at the park. A park spokesman says more than 97-million people have taken a ride on the wooden coaster since its debut in 1972. That is a park record.
It also gained fame in 1973 when the Brady Bunch shot an episode at the park riding the Racer.
The 2013 season at Kings Island opens April 27, 2013.
