Auglaize officials investigating suspicious death

AUGLAIZE COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) - The Auglaize County County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man is found dead in his home.

Deputies were called to a home in Fryburg around 8:30 a.m. Friday on a report of a 60-year-old man deceased inside the home.

After some evidence was recovered from the home, detectives from the Auglaize County Sheriff's Office were called to the scene to investigate further. In addition, two agents from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and an investigator from the Auglaize County Coroner's Office were also called to the scene.

"The circumstances around the death of this person are being looked into further due to the victim being middle aged and a few things at the scene that are unusual, " stated Sheriff Al Solomon. "It may turn out to be nothing. We are just covering all of the bases."

Officials are withholding the name of the victim until family members are notified.

The incident remains under investigation by the Auglaize County Sheriff's Department.
