CANTON, Ohio (AP) - Authorities say eight dogs were killed in a northeast Ohio house fire overnight.
WEWS-TV reports that the three people who lived at the house in Canton weren't home at the time of the fire early Thursday, and nobody was hurt.
Firefighters at the scene said several space heaters were found inside, and they may have caused the fire.
The house was a total loss, and the American Red Cross was assisting the residents.
