MADISON TWP., Ohio (WDTN) - A man is in critical condition after flames consumed his mobile home in the 6500 block of Germantown Pike early Saturday morning.
According to witnesses, Carl Wells and Mary Davidson were inside their mobile home when it caught fire around 2 a.m.
Neighbors stated Davidson was on the computer when she smelled smoke and got out of the house. She immediately ran to neighbors' homes asking for help.
Shortly after Davidson made it out of the home, Wells was rescued from the blaze and taken to Atrium Medical Center. He was later transferred to Miami Valley Hospital.
Family stated Wells suffered third degree burns.
Davidson was uninjured in the flames.
The home was heavily damaged in the fire.
According to family, there were no working smoke detectors in the home.
The fire remains under investigation.
