SPRINGBORO, Ohio (WDTN) - Springboro police are investigating an attempt to defraud an elderly woman.
The victim told police that a man represented himself as an employee of the Warren County Elderly Services Program. He offered to discuss Medicare with her.
Police say as the suspect was taking the woman's personal information, her daughter called and scared off the man.
The daughter called the elderly services program. They advised her that it does not make house calls and had no male employees.
Police describe the suspect as 5'7" with dark hair and bushy eyebrows and a medium build. He was wearing a gray sport coat at the time and did display a business card of a Warren County Elderly Services Program employee.
He was driving a gray SUV.
