SIDNEY, Ohio (WDTN) - A Kentucky man is facing felony drug charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers seized 20 pounds of marijuana following a traffic stop in Shelby County Friday morning.
Troopers stopped a 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe for a speed violation and following too closely on Interstate 75 north of Anna.
According to Lt. Jon Payer, criminal indicators were observed and a Patrol drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed uncovered the drugs.
Lance M. Corde, 30 of Maysville, Ky., was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana and a charge of possession of criminal tools.
He's being held in the Shelby County Jail and could face up to six years in prison and a $12,500 fine.
The marijuana was valued at more than $45,000,
