MAPLEWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) - There will be no jail time for three family members convicted in a puppy mill case out of Shelby County.
Dave and Rhonda Auton and their son, Adam, all received suspended jail time Wednesday.
The judge said that is only if they complete mental evaluations, pay fines and do not own any animals for at least two years.
Authorities found 240 dogs on the Auton's Maplewood property late last year.
Investigators say many of the dogs were ill and living in filthy conditions.
The dogs are now in the care of the animal shelter.
