Fiery crash kills 1 in Shelby County

ANNA, Ohio (WDTN) - One person was killed and three injured in a fiery crash Friday in Shelby County.

Police and rescue crews were called to the accident at the intersection of Sharp and Scott roads north of Sidney around 10 a.m.

Deputies told 2 NEWS an SUV was struck when the driver failed to stop at the intersection.

A passerby pulled the driver from the SUV shortly before it burst into flames. That person, who deputies identified as a female, died.

The passenger from the SUV and the driver and passenger of the other car involved were all taken to a local hospital. Their conditions have not been released.

Investigators have not identified any of the victims.
