Police identify victim of fatal crash

WEST ALEXANDRIA, Ohio (WDTN) - Police have now identified the victim of a fatal crash in Preble County Thursday.

The Sheriff's Office says Douglas Roof, 65, of Indianapolis, was pronounced dead at the scene just north of West Alexandria.

Crews were called to the intersection of State Route 503 and Lexington Road after a SUV collided with Roof's car.

Roof's passenger, Anne Koeller, 60, of Eaton, remains hospitalized at Miami Valley Hospital. She was in critical condition at last check.

The driver of the SUV, Desma Evans, 24, of West Alexandria, is expected to fully recover.

The crash investigation continues.
