WEST ALEXANDRIA, Ohio (WDTN) - The Preble County Sheriff's Office is investigating the case of some stolen checks.
They were discovered missing from the Twin Valley Bank in Gratis on Friday, November 16, 2012.
Tellers told investigators that several Hispanic men cashed several checks belonging to the Cleary Machine Company.
Deputies checked with the company about the checks. Company officials said the checks had, in fact, been stolen.
Police say a total of seven men cashed the stolen checks at the Gratis branch and the Twin Valley Bank branch in West Alexandria.
Police hope the surveillance photos from the banks might help locate the suspects.
Contact the Preble County Sheriff's Office at (937) 456-6301 if you know anything about this case.
