HARRISON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) - Firefighters rushed to the scene of an apartment fire in Harrison Township early Tuesday morning.
Fire officials told us the flames broke out around 2:30 a.m. in the 1900 block of Palisades Drive just off North Dixie Drive.
People living inside nearby apartments were forced out into the cold overnight, as fire crews worked to put out the blaze.
The damage was mostly to the apartment where the fire started, but some other units may have suffered light smoke damage.
Everyone was allowed back in their homes, except for the people who live inside the damaged apartment.
We're told one adult and one or two small children were being helped by the Red Cross.
The cause of the fire was still under investigation.
