UNION, Ohio (WDTN) - The melting snow caused road closures across the Miami Valley Saturday.

However, the high water didn't drown the fun.
"It's a beautiful day so we woke up early and tact up our horses, planned to go on a nice trail ride and we saw the river was up so we're going to go check it out and see how deep it is, maybe get our horses' feet a little wet," says Madison Arnold.
And the horses seem to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather.
"I think they like it. It's a lot easier on them when they're not out in the cold and it's not very windy," explains Sarah Seibert.

"The snow is fun but it's just too cold. It's a lot of fun to ride in this type of weather but it's muddy so sometimes that can be sometimes worse but we love it. It's great," comments Courtny Arnold.

"The sign said it was flooded. I wanted to see how flooded it was. The next thing I know I see horses playing in the water. My wife loves horses so I came back to take a video clip of it," says Matuszak.
He says he's not surprised by the mild temperatures.
"Southern Ohio you get that. You get winter one week and spring the next week with the rain and the snow melting, it's pretty nasty," explains Matuszak.
