DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Troopers say a trucker fell asleep just before his semi rolled over on Interstate 70 near the exit for State Route 48 overnight.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reports 51-year-old William Bingham, of Indiana, drove off the side of the roadway striking a guardrail. The truck flipped and slid on its side for nearly 400 feet.

It took troopers about two and a half hours to clean up the crash.

Bingham was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.  Troopers ticketed him for failure to maintain reasonable control and driving a commercial vehicle with impaired alertness.
