Synthetic Drugs Symposium sold out

Experts to discuss growing problem

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Doctors, nurses, police, firefighters, social workers from all over the Dayton region are expected to pack Sinclair Community College for the first ever Synthetics Drugs Symposium to be held in Southwest Ohio.

The all day event, to be held Thursday, March 21 beginning at 9 is a sell-out and will feature experts on the topic and undercover agents who will give insight into current local trends as well as discuss the dangerous side-effects of bath salt type drugs and their long term effect on the user.

Local law enforcement agencies will also share updates on efforts underway to curb the growing use of synthetic drugs.

It is a free continuing education opportunity sponsored by the Greater Dayton Area Hospital Association and the Alcohol, Drug Abuse and Mental Health Services of Montgomery County.
