KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) - UPDATE : Police shut down what they said was an active meth lab in an east Kettering neighborhood Thursday morning.

SWAT officers raided a home a 2147 E. Bataan Street around 8 a.m.

Police told 2 NEWS they were alerted to the operation from neighbors about drug activity.

"We've had our suspicions," said Brian Zindorf, who lives nearby. "We'd seen a guy walking back and forth from his house so we've been saying stuff like there's something going on here."

Michael Saunders Sr. was inside the house at the time of the raid and was taken into custody.

"I'm glad they finally ended up catching him," Zindorf said.

Animal control officers were also called when two dogs were found inside the house.
