RIVERSIDE, Ohio (WDTN) - A local, stand-out, high school band will be playing its way into the national spotlight.
Stebbins High School band will be the pep band for Iona College when they take on OSU in the NCAA tournament at UD Arena Friday.
"I got the phone call on Monday," said Kenneth Carpenter, who is the band director at Stebbins High. "Iona's band cannot travel with the team and they asked us to perform. Of course I said yes!"
Approximately 28 members of the high school band will be participating. Many of whom are life-long Buckeye fans.
"I love OSU and my family loves OSU," said Sarah Owens, who will be playing the saxophone. "I'm really excited for this opportunity."
