MIAMI TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) - One person is dead following a shooting in a Miami Township apartment on Monday night but the search continues for those who killed him.
Emergency crews and police arrived to the scene at the Club at Spring Valley Apartments around 9:45 p.m.
According to investigators, Terrence M. Williams, 44, was shot multiple times. He was rushed to Miami Valley Hospital where he later died.
Police said Williams lived with his fiancee and her three children in the apartment. They said his relationship with his fiancee was "turbulent," and that a domestic violence incident a few days earlier may have played some role in the shooting.
Investigators are now talking with William's fiancee, who called 911.
After the shooting, someone arrived at Miami Valley Hospital with a gunshot wound. That person has not been charged yet, but police say he was involved in the shooting. They're looking for others who may have been involved as well. It is believed the suspects knew the couple and this was not a random incident.
The children are staying with their father.
The Purple Passion 5K run/walk was held at Shawnee Park Saturday afternoon.
