SCLC banquet pays tribute to MLK

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The Dayton Chapter of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference gathered in Dayton Friday evening to celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
The annual banquet was held at Sinclair Community College.
Participants listened to various speakers and several were honored for their dedication to civil rights issues in our community.
The MLK Legacy Award was presented to Yvonne Seon, the founding director of the Bolinga Black Cultural Resources Center at Wright State University.
The Rev. Thomas Murray of Anointed Temple of Praise in Memphis, Tennessee was keynote speaker.
This is the 27th year for the event.
