Same sex kisses at Chick-fil-A

CENTERVILLE, Ohio (WDTN) - The next saga in the Chick-fil-A same sex marriage debate played out Friday with a kissing campaign across the country.

Gay rights advocates encouraged same sex couples to kiss outside restaurants nationwide.

One local man decided to take a different approach. Dave Herdsman flew his gay pride flag from his car Friday at the Chick-fil-A on Route 725 in Centerville.

He sent us the photo and said he was treated fairly and welcomed at the restaurant.

One protester in Georgia said, "To find out that a company is turning around and taking my money and turning it against my family and my children was not ok with me."

The debate exploded Wednesday when huge crowds showed up at Chick-fil-A restaurants to support the company's president who made a statement against same sex marriage.

Several local Chick-fil-A stores were packed Wednesday. Several people sent their photos to our newsroom.
