Road rage suspect arrested

KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) - A Miami Township man has been was arrested on two counts of felonious assault for a road rage incident.

Tyler J. Dieterle, 31, is accused of assaulting two men during a March 13 altercation on South Dixie Highway near West Dorothy Lane.

Police said Dieterle hit another man in the head with a crowbar, then as he was leaving the scene, he struck a witness in the leg with his car.

The witness was trying to help the victim and report Dieterle’s license plate number to dispatchers.

The victim hit with the crowbar was taken to Kettering Medical Center for treatment of cuts and bruises.
   
The witness refused treatment at the scene.

Police said Dieterle went to his Miami Township home, then to a local hospital to be treated for an eye injury.

After leaving the hospital, he was taken into custody by the Kettering Police.

Dieterle remains in the Kettering Jail and has no bond.
