DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Terrance Brown laughed and refused to answer questions as he was walked into jail Wednesday afternoon.

Dayton Police say the 33-year-old is responsible for robbing an 86-year-old woman outside of the CVS store at Third & Main Streets Monday afternoon around 1:30.

The victim tells 2 NEWS she was walking out of the store when the suspect grabbed her purse off her shoulder and shoved her to the ground.

Witnesses called for help.

"It looks like he just pushed her down but when he pushed her down, she hit her mouth.  Like, she must have bit her mouth or something like that because she is bleeding from the mouth," says one witness who called 911.

The victim tells me when her face hit the ground, three of her teeth were knocked out.  She also has bruises all over her face.

Police say they used surveillance video from the RTA hub across the street to track Brown.

They say he cashed some of the victim's checks and tell us he still had her coin purse when he was arrested.

The elderly victim is now recovering at home and thankful that Brown is behind bars but says she is still shaken up.

Police tell us Brown also admitted to stealing another woman's purse in front of the library downtown.

He's being on held on aggravated robbery charges.
