DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - PSA Airlines announced a tentative contract agreement Friday with its pilots.
The Air Line Pilots Association represents PSA's 515 pilots, many of which are based right here in Dayton.
"We are very pleased to have reached a tentative agreement with ALPA that recognizes the contribution and dedication of PSA's pilots and thank the union leadership for their support of our pilots" said Keith Houk, PSA Airlines president and CEO. "We would also like to thank the National Mediation Board and Mediator James Mackenzie for their assistance in reaching this new five-year tentative agreement."
ALPA will present details of the agreement in the days ahead leading up to a ratification vote in the coming weeks.
PSA Airlines is a subsidiary of US Airways. An airline spokesperson says Thursday announced merger between US Airways and American Airlines should not affect its operations.
PSA says it expects to continue operating as a distinct entity in the Dayton market and elsewhere. The same goes for American's subsidiary, American Eagle.
