Pedestrian recovering after hit by car

HARRISON TWP., Ohio (WDTN) - A pedestrian was struck by a car in the 5200 block of North Main Street in Harrison Township shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday.

Deputies were initially dispatched to the area on reports of an intoxicated man walking down the street.

While crews were en route, the man stepped into the street and was hit by a car.

The victim was unresponsive at the scene and taken to Miami Valley Hospital.

According to officials, he is in critical condition.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office stated no charges will be filed against the driver who hit the victim.
