DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Preparation is the name of the game.
UD Arena officials tell us it's going to be a tight turn around between the two sessions Friday and they're hoping basketball fans will be ready and willing to help make the transition easy.
Thousands of basketball fans will be packing UD Arena to watch Indiana and James Madison, the last game in the afternoon session. The evening session starts with Ohio State and Iona. Both NCAA Tournament sessions are sold out.
Everyone will be required to leave the arena after the first session, even if you have tickets for the second. But, you don't have to move your car.
Parking and traffic is going to be very congested so UD Arena Officials are asking you not to arrive early to the second session because it will create more problems.
They're trying to make this transition as smooth as possible for you.
"We're going to have to get everyone out, get those cars out at the same time we're bringing those other cars in, so that's why we're using alternative lots, that's why we're going to put extra people at the doors. So, once people get out they can come in quickly and make this turnaround as quickly as possible," explains UD Arena Executive Director Tim O'Connell.
Those additional offsite parking lots will have shuttle buses and security officers.
And if you're using I-75 expect traffic delays due to construction.
Rescuers say they arrived at the scene around 7:30 pm to find a 15-year old girl…
