HARRISON TWP., Ohio (WDTN) - A sobriety checkpoint held in Harrison Township Friday resulted in no OVI arrests.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office along with the Montgomery County Combined Agency OVI Task Force conducted the checkpoint Friday from 6 until 10 p.m. on Needmore Road.
While no OVI arrests were made, officials found three people driving under suspension. They also issued two seatbelt citations and three child restraint violations. Six citations were also issued for other traffic violations.
Additional patrols will be out on the roadways for the St. Patrick's Day weekend looking for impaired drivers.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office encourages all drivers to be responsible and to not drink and drive.
