Mother found guilty in son's death

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - A Montgomery County jury reached a verdict Thursday in a child abuse case out of Dayton.
The jury found Michelle Mooty, 23, guilty of permitting the abuse that killed her 2-year old son, Levi Barrett.
The jury found that Mooty knew her boyfriend at the time, Joe Watson, IV, was abusing the child, but still allowed him to watch the boy.
She was found guilty of all charges against her including permitting child abuse, complicity to commit felonious assault and child endangering.
Watson, IV, was found guilty of Levi's murder. He is serving a 15-year to life sentence.
Levi was beaten to death in December 2011.
Mooty's will be sentenced February 26, 2013.
