DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - The criminal charges in juvenile court against two former nurses connected to the malnutrition death of a Dayton teenager have been dropped.

Court documents show that Juvenile Court Judge Anthony Capizzi dismissed the charges against Mary Kilby and Kathryn Williams.

They both faced charges of failure to report child abuse in the death of Makayla Norman, 14.

Both women were already sentenced to probation in October after reaching a plea deal in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.

Kilby and Williams also agreed to hand over their nursing licenses as part of the deal.

Makayla died in March 2011.  She weighed only 28-pounds at the time of her death.  She suffered from cerebral palsy.

Her mother, Angela Norman, pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and endangering children.  She is now serving nine years in prison.

A third nurse, Mollie Parsons, was also sentenced to prison time.
