DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - 2 NEWS has obtained a copy of a letter that reinstates the two suspended members of the Montgomery County Board of Elections for now.

The letter is from Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted to the two democrats who served on the board, Thomas Ritchie and Dennis Lieberman.

The suspension is being lifted while a hearing officer prepares a report based on testimony Monday in Columbus.

The hearing was the result of the Ritchie's and Lieberman's vote to keep weekend early voting hours in Montgomery County.

Husted referred to their actions as "nonfeasance" since Husted's directive eliminated weekend hours.

Husted's letter dated today, August 23, "This action is necessary so that the board can meet impending statutory deadlines.
