Huber Heights, Ohio (WDTN) - The leaders of Huber Heights could be singing a new tune very soon.

Monday, December 10, we expect city leaders will make a major announcement about a 10-million dollar music center proposal that could seat up to 5-thousand people at it's new project called the Heights.

The 800-acre area , off Interstate 70 at 201 has already made a big splash in the community with the opening of the Kroger Aquatic Center.

We were also there as the Ohio State marching band played during the ribbon cutting ceremony for the much anticipated Eichelberger Amphitheater this past Memorial Day.

Plans also call for adding hotels, restaurants and upscale shopping to the area.

City leaders must first approve 100-thousand dollars to get the project moving forward.
