Beating the back to school jitters

Students around the Miami Valley are heading back to class. Some probably have some jitters about the first day of class.

We caught up with one back-to-schooler who is ready to go.

7-year-old Jacob Martin started the first grade Wednesday at Primary Village North in Centervillle.

First day jitters seem to lie more with mom, who like all doting parents, just want their kids to be happy.

"It's a whole new group of kids for him, and he'll have to learn how to go up to people and talk to them," said Martin.

Packing up his backpack he is thrilled with all his new stuff, which includes something that made me smile, "And here are the pictures of my teeth," said Jacob.

Most kids have a theme for their back-to-school gear. Do you remember yours? Jacob likes everything Lego, even down to his lego shoes!
