MIAMI TWP., Ohio (WDTN) - Miami Township Trustees voted to part ways with township administrator Greg Hanahan.
The board held a special meeting Wednesday afternoon. The parting was a mutual agreement. We're told Hanahan will be paid through the remainder of his contract which expires in December 2013.
Hanahan has been on medical leave, but h is name came up recently in the hearing of Major John Dipietro who was fired from the police department.
Dipietro's attorney expressed disappointment in Hanahan's decision "not" to testify at the hearing.
Hanahan has been the township administrator for more than ten years.
He was instrumental in the merging of the Miami Township and Miamisburg fire departments and overseeing progress of Austin Landing.
The township named Tracy Williams as interim township administrator. We're told he will be paid on a month to month basis, about $10,000 a month.
