DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Local salons and barbershops are making sure your children look and feel their best for the first day of school.

Infinitee Salon in Dayton is one of several sponsors for Giving, Caring and Sharing Day.  Organizers tell 2 NEWS as many as 500 kids in need will get free haircuts or shampoos and styles, just in time for class.

"It just gives students that confidence when they first go back to school," said Stylist Tia Wilson.

Giving, Caring and Sharing Day is set for Tuesday, August 14. Parents will need to register their students through Infinitee Salon by 12:00 p.m. Saturday, August 11. Proof of assistance is required.

Infinitee Salon is located at 3594 Salem Avenue in Dayton. You can call (937) 275-7898.
