DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Dayton Power and Light outlined a plan it says is vital to its financial future.

It wants to charge customers about $5.00 more per month to make up for a significant drop in revenue.

The move would generate about $600-million over the next five years.

Both industry insiders, as well as the Ohio Consumers Counsel, have criticized the request.

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio is expected to make a decision after March.
