TROTWOOD, Ohio (WDTN) - Several people gathered outside Hara Arena Saturday morning to protest the Bill Goodman's Gun and Knife Show at Hara Arena.

The protest was held in light of the December 14, 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut.

The Adam Project's "Ceasefire Dayton Initiative" organized the demonstration to spread the message to stop the violence.

Folks gathered in song and prayer and read the names of each of the victims lost in the tragedy.

Those who attended said they support a banning of assault weapons and high power ammunition.
