DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) - Police officers were on the scene where a dead body was found Friday evening.

It was in the vicinity of Rip Rap and Fishburg roads in the Taylorsville Reserve.

We're told the body was found along the Great Miami River Recreational Trail.  Investigators say it is a possibility that the body could be that of a fisherman who suffered a heart attack and collapsed trying to climb up an embankment at the river's edge.

Police and fire crews continue to investigate.  Be sure to check in with WDTN.com Saturday for updates and on 2 NEWS at 6, 10 and 11.
