WPAFB, Ohio (WDTN) - The United States Air Force is temporarily suspending tuition assistance programs.

The Dayton Business Journal reported Tuesday that the move will impact more than 1,300 people at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.

The suspension impacts active duty personnel and reservists, but it will not affect airmen who are already approved for tuition assistance.

The program suspension is a direct result of the forced federal spending cuts.
